Francis Keenan

Having graduated from the University of Leeds with a BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying, Francis worked for a main contractor as a postgraduate, specialising within the leisure and hospitality sectors. 

Following on from that role, Francis moved to Australia to work on the Olympic Park project for the Sydney 2000 Games as a Professional Quantity Surveyor.

Upon returning to the UK in 2001, Francis joined the family business and over the last 17 years has grown the business from £20m, to £100m and is now FK Group’s CEO. He has been instrumental in overseeing the strengthening of the Group’s structure and in leading its diversification to becoming the UK’s number one provider of full building envelope solutions.

Paul Bentley

Paul began his career in construction in 1988 and studied part time whilst working to gain Chartered Institute of Building status. Paul worked for a number of main contractors developing his exposure to a wide variety of sectors and with it his experience running commercial teams. 

He held a number of senior commercial manager positions within this sector before moving to the specialist sub-contractor sector, when he joined FK in 2010, as commercial director. In 2015 he became joint managing director of FK Group and has been instrumental in driving forward the company’s growth and development, particularly in the Façade sector.

Matt Lang

Since leaving school Matt has always been involved within the construction industry, having first started work for his father’s ceiling and partitioning company.

In 2002 he took an opportunity to become a trainee quantity surveyor for the fit-out contractor Readfix working in the retail, leisure and residential sectors. Two years later he joined the Manchester-based principle contractor Ocon Construction concentrating on the student accommodation and commercial sectors.

Matt joined FK Group in June 2010 as a senior quantity surveyor where he was responsible for commercial and contractual duties on some large scale projects, and was appointed commercial director in 2016.

Matt now sits on the Executive Board as a director overseeing the commercial team including the surveying, estimating and procurement departments, ensuring that it consistently meets and exceeds the internal and external demands and requirements of the business.

Richard Robinson

Richard has nearly 20 years’ experience working within the industry having started out his career with a Yorkshire based specialist sub-contractor. 

Having joined FK Group in 2009 he played a key role in delivering numerous high profile projects including Manchester City’s new South stand, Leeds REFW and Liverpool FC’s new Main Stand.

In 2013 Richard was promoted to the role of design director which saw him managing a significant expansion of the department as well as the integration of the façades discipline within the FK product portfolio.

He joined the Executive Board in June 2019 where as director he is now responsible for various aspects of the business, ensuring that it consistently meets and exceeds clients’ expectations, as well as driving innovation in areas such as BIM implementation & automation.

Dan Halliwell

Dan originally joined FK Group in April 2011 but has worked in IT since leaving college. After a short stint as IT technician in the logistics industry, Dan honed his managerial skills in the construction industry with Ocon Construction Ltd and later parent company Opal Property Group.

In 2011, Dan joined FK Group alongside former Ocon colleagues Matt Lang, David Raine and Paul Bentley to look after the company’s IT requirements.

In 2012 Dan stepped away from the business for a short time to set up his own IT business while continuing to work with FK on a contract basis. He re-joined the company full time in January 2015 to head up the group’s IT, process and technology operation.

Dan’s role as business process and technology director includes overseeing the implementation of innovative technologies and systems to drive consistency and exceed client expectations at every step as well as to help the business to continue to excel in the industry.

Alistair Bolton

Alistair has been part of FK for almost 15 years, having joined us in 2005 as a Senior Estimator. In 2007, he was promoted to Business Systems Manager, and since 2009 he has served as Head of Procurement. In this role, he is responsible for all plant and material purchasing, as well as developing bespoke trade agreements with FK Group’s supply chain partners.

Prior to joining FK, Alistair worked in procurement and as an estimator for a number of large companies, where he developed his skills in cost and contract negotiations, and specification defining.
